Aurora Wave Ceiling Projector

QAR 58,06
Description

A small white dome, about the size of a grapefruit, that fills a dark room with slow moving colour. It does not light the room so much as replace it — the light lands on the ceiling and the walls as broad drifting bands, and it keeps moving, so the room never quite settles. Put it on a bedside table or a shelf and point it at the largest blank surface you have.

Colour and effect are set from the handset, and there is a button on the unit itself if the remote goes missing down the side of the bed. It runs on 5 V.

Two projections

  • Aurora waves — broad soft bands that roll across the ceiling, the effect in most of the photographs.
  • Rotating swirl — a tighter spiral that turns around a centre point, closer to light off moving water.

Details

  • Dome-shaped projector with a moulded translucent cap
  • 16 colour effects, set from the remote
  • Remote and on-unit button control
  • 5 V — runs from a USB supply
  • Shipping weight about 200 g

Where we have not followed the manufacturer. The specification sheet attached to this listing is a generic one: it describes a starry-sky projector with a separate star and starlight mode, and it gives the shape as rectangular. The object in the photographs is a dome, and not one of the manufacturer's own photographs shows a star field — every single one shows moving aurora or ripple bands. So that is what we are describing and that is what we are selling. We are not repeating the star projection, the claimed projection distance, or the “300x magnification” line, because nothing here evidences any of them.
