3D Skull Ice Cube Tray

QAR 54,42
Description

A flexible silicone tray that freezes water into skulls instead of blocks. The cavities are moulded with eye sockets, a nasal cavity and a full set of teeth, so what lands in the glass is a clear little skull that slowly loses its face as it melts.

Three trays, and they are not the same object:

  • 4 cavity — the deepest tray, with four chunky skulls sat in a thick block of silicone.
  • 6 cavity — the one in the first photograph. About 13.5 x 13.5 cm; each skull comes out around 4.6 cm tall and 3.6 cm wide, going by the maker's own size drawing.
  • 10 cavity — a flat rectangular tray of ten smaller skull faces, two rows of five, for ordinary glasses rather than a single show-off cube.

Details

  • Flexible silicone — the frozen skulls pop out by pushing from underneath
  • About 180 g
  • The maker's care icons show freezer, oven, microwave and dishwasher use
  • The maker also photographs the trays filled with chocolate and jelly

Fill it a little below the rim, freeze it flat, and give the tray a twist before pushing the skulls out. Detail this fine comes out sharpest with water that has been boiled and cooled.
