Tiny Resin Skull Heads

Twenty small resin skulls, each about the size of a thumbnail. Eye sockets, nasal cavity, teeth and a hairline crack across the cranium are all moulded in, then washed brown so the recesses read dark. Cast in one piece - the jaw is part of the casting, not hinged.

• They are all the same skull - one mould, one colour, twenty copies

They are smaller than people expect. 1.8 cm is roughly the length of a thumbnail. Several of the photographs are shot close enough to make a heap of them look like a pile of real bone; the size callout is the honest reference.

We are not going to tell you they survive outside. The manufacturer's title sells them as garden and potted-plant decor and photographs them among succulents and under trees, but they publish nothing at all about weather resistance, UV fading or frost. Resin this small in a plant pot is a fair bet indoors and a gamble in the rain, and we have no evidence either way.

The staging is not included. The black dish, the pumpkin lamp, the succulents and the leaves are all props. You get the skulls.
