Squishy Belly Dog Bumper Pads
QAR 50,52Description
A soft silicone cartoon dog with an absurdly round belly that sticks to the edge of a door, a car door, a cabinet or a wall corner and takes the knock instead of the paintwork. The belly is the whole point: it is soft enough to squash flat under your thumb and springs back, so it works as a cushion and as something to fidget with while you wait for the kettle.
Each design comes as a pair, cast in silicone with a self-adhesive backing you peel and press onto a smooth surface. Waterproof, and a damp cloth cleans them.
Details
- Manufacturer-stated material: silicone
- Self-adhesive backing for smooth surfaces
- Most designs about 11 cm tall and 7 cm wide; the police pair is larger, about 15 cm by 13 cm
- About 15 mm thick at the belly
- About 24 g each
- Four designs, sold in twos; the shiba pair is also sold in a four-pack
- Manufacturer age guidance: 6 years and over
One correction to the manufacturer's own listing: it files these under fridge magnets, but they are not magnetic. They stick with adhesive, which is why they also work on a painted door or a car bumper. Stock is thin on every design right now — the corgi and puppy pair is sold out and the rest are down to single figures.
