Solar Mushroom Garden Stake Lights

QAR 54,42
Description

A spray of little glowing caps on springy wire stems, pushed into the ground on a stake. They sit at different heights and sway in the wind, so on a breezy night the whole clump drifts about like something growing at the bottom of the sea rather than garden lighting.

The solar panel sits on top of the stake and switches the lights on by itself when the light drops. No wiring, no plug, nothing to run to the house.

The two versions

  • Warm white — every cap the same soft amber. Reads as proper garden lighting along a path or a border.
  • Colour changing — the caps run through pinks, greens, blues and gold. This is the one in the first photograph.

Sold as a single stake, or in twos and fours for a wider drift.

Details

  • About 70 cm (27.6 in) tall on the stake, going by the maker's size drawing
  • Two modes: a slow flashing cycle, or steady constant light
  • Solar panel on the stake head, with an on/off switch
  • Peel the protective film off the panel and leave the switch on, or it will not charge
  • The maker rates it IP65 for weather, and states 6–8 hours of direct sun gives 15+ hours of light. Those are the maker's figures, not ours — real run time will depend on your sun.

Push the stake somewhere that actually gets direct sun during the day; a panel in shade is the usual reason solar lights disappoint.
