RGB Ambient Light Bars
QAR 72,62Description
A slim LED bar on a small weighted disc, meant to sit behind a monitor, a television or a plant and throw colour onto the wall behind it. It is not a reading light and it is not bright enough to be one — the point is the wash of colour on the wall, which is why every photograph of it is taken in a dark room.
It works either way up: stand it vertical in its base for a tall column of light, or lay it horizontal for a low band along a shelf or the back of a desk.
Four ways to buy it
- Remote control, single — one bar, 24-key infrared handset
- Remote control, pair — two bars, for either side of a screen
- Remote + app, single — one bar, handset plus phone control
- Remote + app, pair — two bars, handset plus phone control
The app versions add phone control on top of the handset — the manufacturer supplies a free app through a QR code printed in the manual. We are not naming it here because it is someone else's software and it can be renamed or pulled without notice. The remote-only versions cannot use the app; the manufacturer states that outright, so choose deliberately.
Details
- Runs on 5 V from a USB port, roughly 90 cm of cable
- 6-10 W
- Colour, brightness and effect set from the handset
- Stands vertical or lies horizontal on the same base
- In the box: the bar, the remote with its batteries already fitted, and a manual
- Shipping weight about 290 g per bar
Two practical notes the manufacturer buries. There is no mains plug in the box — you supply the 5 V USB source, and the manufacturer warns that running it off anything other than 5 V can damage it. And the remote arrives with a plastic isolation tab under the battery; pull it out or the handset will seem dead.
Where we have not followed the manufacturer
The manufacturer's own title calls this a USB rechargeable model. Nothing supports that. The listed package contents are the lamp, the remote and a manual — no battery for the lamp itself — and the specification insists on a constant 5 V supply. So we are selling this as a mains-or-USB-powered light that stays plugged in, not as a cordless one.
The manufacturer also calls it a pickup light with a music rhythm mode. We are not promising that. No specification field mentions a microphone, and not one photograph shows one; the only place the claim appears is overlaid marketing text on the app-version graphics. If sound reactivity is the reason you want it, treat it as unverified. For the same reason we are not repeating the "smart device" label on the remote-only versions, since the manufacturer itself says they have no app.
