Reading Figure Shelf Statue
QAR 50,78Description
A small faceless figure sitting absolutely still with a little red book open in both hands. The whole body is moulded with rows of tiny printed characters, so from a step away it reads as a person wrapped in the pages of something they have already finished.
There are two poses, and they are not the same size:
- Style A — sits cross-legged on a flat surface. About 7 cm tall, 5 cm wide, 4.5 cm deep.
- Style B — perches on an edge with both legs hanging over the front. About 13 cm tall, 5 cm wide, 6 cm deep. This is the one for a shelf lip, the top of a stack of books, or the edge of a cabinet.
Details
- Hand-painted red book against a grey and white printed-text body
- About 100 g
- No batteries, no assembly — it just sits there
- Sold as one figure. Pick the pose you want; the photograph with two of them is showing both poses side by side.
Because the printed pattern and the paintwork are applied by hand, no two come out quite the same — the density of the text and the exact grey vary a little from the photographs.
