A palm-sized cat you squeeze when the day is being difficult. Moulded with a flocked, faintly furry surface and glassy eyes, which is what makes it read as a small animal rather than a rubber blob. Five designs, two sizes. Not electric — no battery, light or sound.

  • The fibres shed. "Hairs fall out" is the top review tag, raised by ten separate buyers. The fuzzy coating is flocking and some of it comes off.
  • Maker rates it 14+ despite the manufacturer's own title selling it as a gift for kids. We're going with the maker. Keep it away from small children.
