ramen-cat-mini-framed-magnet
Ramen Cat Mini Framed Magnet

A mini picture frame, 8 cm tall, with a magnet on the back and a printed scene inside: a wide-eyed black cat with a mouthful of noodles, a steaming bowl of ramen, a pair of chopsticks and a bottle on a counter. The print is built up in layers, so the cat and the bowl stand slightly proud of the tiled background — it reads as a tiny shadow box rather than a flat sticker.

It is almost exactly the footprint of a credit card. Small enough for a fridge door, a locker, a filing cabinet or the side of a desk.

Details

8 cm tall x 6 cm wide

Magnet on the back — fridge, locker, cabinet, any steel surface

Moulded frame with a rope-twist outer edge, finished warm orange-terracotta

Layered relief print, not a flat photograph

Shipping weight about 20 g

One design, sold singly

The print

The orange tag on the wall reads 美味しい — oishii, delicious. The rest of the scene is invented: the paper slips pinned behind the cat, the tiled wall, and the two characters on the sauce bottle are all part of the illustration rather than anything you can go and eat at.

Where we have not followed the manufacturer

It calls the frame golden. There is no strength figure anywhere in the listing and the back of the frame is not photographed once. We can tell you the magnet is there and that the whole thing weighs about 20 g; we cannot tell you how hard it grips, so we are not going to say.

The listing names no material for the frame, so neither do we.

The tan leather-look box in the fourth photograph is a prop and is not included.
